Our Mandheling coffee showcases the best of the Arabica beans grown in the Tapanuli region of Sumatra. Named after the Mandailing people who have been producing coffee here for generations, this coffee is grown with care and attention to quality. The farmers of the co-op receive training in tree management, pest control, pruning, and selecting only the ripest cherries to ensure the highest quality possible.
In addition to this, sustainable practices are a priority, with a focus on soil conservation to prevent degradation, erosion, and to improve soil health. Once harvested, the coffee undergoes a 12-hour fermentation process before being dried for 2-3 days, depending on weather conditions. After reaching 30% moisture, it is hulled and then dried further to the optimal 11% moisture content to prevent spoilage during storage.
This Sumatra Mandheling is a coffee full of character, perfect for those who appreciate a cup with depth, complexity, and a memorable finish.

No hype. Just good coffee, done properly.
Did not know what to expect from this coffee and I must say I was very pleased. The taste borders on the bold but not so bold that you would call it overpowering, this coffee has some real character,it should appeal to anyone who enjoys coffee and enjoys what you might call refreshing.
Sumatra is one of my favorite blends from Indonesia. It has a rich, deep, robust fragrance with a velvety, smooth flavour.
This is an exceptional coffee.
