Diego began as a coffee producer when he acquired his farm in the San Francisco, La Florida, Nariño village. With a background as an agronomist, he had already worked many years of his life on farms. Using this experience, particularly in the control of diseases and insects, he decided to plant the majority of his farm in Caturra for its perceived better cup profile.
Constantly striving for improvements and innovation, Diego began experimenting with honeys and naturals a few years ago. Picking only the ripest cherries, Diego achieves an incredibly sweet and complex cup.
A typical 12-oz cup of caffeinated coffee can contain 120 mg to 180 mg of caffeine, while a decaffeinated cup of the same size has caffeine levels around 2mg for EA Decaf.
Ethyl acetate (EA) occurs naturally in many fruits, so this method is another form of natural decaffeination. This method requires thoroughly steaming the beans until they swell. Then, an ethyl acetate aqueous solution is used to wash the swollen beans repeatedly.

36th Parallel does not accept responsibility for any theft of the parcel if you have provided authority to leave as this is not within our control. If you have selected to waive our requirement to collect your signature upon delivery by providing your authority to leave the parcel without a signature and your parcel is lost during transit, we cannot accept responsibility to replace the item. I have tried all different coffee beans from different roasters to find “the one” and we found it here. Our family love the coffee blend and we keep coming back for more.
It would be nice as well to have a zip lock bag for the coffee beans to keep the freshness.
